I urge DAP to act with conscience and principles, to act with impartiality in PKR’s ongoing internal dispute, rather than helping PKR canvass for votes in this costly by-election which PKR intentionally manufactured to resolve their internal crisis.
The Kajang by-election should never have happened. The rakyat are disgusted when the PKR incumbent state assemblyman Lee Chin Cheh was made to suddenly resign in order to have a by-election simply to solve PKR’s power struggles. DAP campaigning for PKR leaves the rakyat equally puzzled.
Holding the Kajang by-election is totally inconsistent with the spirit of democracy as it was executed in self-interest. PKR deliberately manipulated democracy and the Kajang constituents have to pay the price. Unfortunately, PKR’s ally ie DAP continues to ignore their conscience by whitewashing PKR’s goal and persuading voters to choose PKR.
DAP frequently touts upholding democracy and freedom, but their demeanor is inconsistent with their action. Not only does DAP fuel anti-democratic behavior, their fund-raising dinners are deployed to incite the emotions of the people.
I challenge DAP to promise to respect the democratic process and boycott the Kajang by-election as PKR refuses to respect but paradoxically undermines democratic principles and spirit in their self-interest of deliberately manufacturing this by-election. By co-operating, DAP is working hand-in-glove with PKR to seize Putrajaya at the expense of the rakyat. Do not be like Anwar ie saying one thing but doing another.
